If prenatal anxiety is not addressed it can have negative consequences for you and your family, these may include:

  • Difficulty fulfilling family responsibilities
  • Bonding problems
  • Financial problems due to inability to work
  • Not looking after yourself
  • Relationship problems
  • Sexual dysfunction

It may also have negative outcomes for your baby, including:

  • Birth complications
  • Delayed growth
  • Lower birthweight
  • Emotional and behavioural problems
