Unfortunately, there is no ‘one size fits all’ strategy when it comes to managing anxiety, so take the time to understand your symptoms (using our interactive symptom scales, and the ‘Understanding and Managing Anxiety’ pages), and start to explore the different evidence-based self-help techniques in the toolbox.
To find out what works best for you, trying one technique at a time, for at least a few weeks. Many of the strategies require repeated practice before you begin to see improvement, so give yourself some time and space to experience that.
Take it slow, be kind to yourself, and remember… it’s all about baby steps.
